Breakfast, where the programme starts each day
Breakfast starts your day and shapes the hours that follow. Eaten at the club with your coach beside you, a full, balanced breakfast gets you to lunchtime without raiding the biscuit tin. Ask your coach which breakfast is right for you.
Mornings belong to breakfast at the club, with your coach on hand to see how you are getting on.
To build your own, see which breakfast helps with weight loss.
Your intake, from morning to night
The day starts at the club, with breakfast eaten on the spot before work. A proper meal, sitting down, that avoids the 11am dip and sets the tone for the rest of the day.
- Protein at every meal. Eggs, fish, meat, dairy or pulses help keep your muscle and keep you full until the next meal. Our page how much protein a day gives the guideline for your weight.
- Lighter carbohydrates and fats in the evening. A small portion of starchy food, a drizzle of oil and plenty of vegetables. Our page starchy foods and weight loss explains why to keep them rather than cut them out.
- Water throughout the day. It is the only essential drink, and it helps you tell thirst from hunger.
The club adjusts these guidelines with you every day, according to your hunger, your hours and your activity.
